iSight In-Mold Label Inspector
Sight for In-Mold Labeling was created to detect issues unique to the IML process and reduce costly regrinding. It utilizes 2 – 6 cameras to inspect containers for label presence, alignment, integrity and over-molding. kmV’s proprietary Power Tools vision suite greatly simplifies training new labels while available automated camera positioning and a comprehensive recipe library make running multiple products a snap.
iSight Reports allow you to fully understand the yields, trends and statistics of the inspected product to help control your manufacturing process.
Every system is turnkey, including pre-job lab work up, design, build, FAT, installation, SAT, user and administrator training and available 24/7 service. Remote service is included with every system to minimize your down time.
iSight for In-Mold Labeling
In-Mold Labeling (IML) offers attractive, permanent “no label look” labeling for products in a variety of container types. While there are many advantages to in-mold labeling, the process presents many unique challenges to the container manufacturer. Slight variations in static or suction strength can effect the placement and alignment of the labels. Not enough charging can allow plastic to flow behind the label causing over-molding. Gate placement to close to the label edges can cause over-molding. It’s a complicated process.
Cutting Edge Vision Technology
kmV utilizes the latest machine vision technology while designing and building our iSight family of inspection systems. Each base system is customized (lensing, lighting, vision tools, reporting) to best meet your inspection requirements.
